Storybook Land and South Dakota Harvest

Here's a slideshow of some pics in July and our visit down to SD which included going with our friends, Barry, Tricia, and the ladies (Kyra and Lauren) to Storybook Land in Aberdeen and then our visit out to Gettysburg where Rick, Jodi, Nathan and the crew were out harvesting.

Quinny, nearly 8 months

Sunday, July 6th, the big Q will turn 8 months of age. We still don't have him crawling yet, but I get the feeling it's right around the corner. He's got 2 front teeth on the bottom, and an eye tooth on top, with another one coming (we think). I'm almost certain he can't wait to sink his teeth into Kajsa's hand and arms, which are constantly wrapped around him (whether he likes it or not).

Kajsa at the park

The look on her face pretty much tells you the story of what Kajsa is like in her 3s. Terrible 2s are nothing compared to 3s, especially with this child. We pray Quin will be a little less "busy".

Dance Practice

Before the dance recital, Elise took Kajsa to dance practice earlier that day. As luck would have it, she decided to take some video of it. Enjoy!

Quin @ 6 months

From 2008 May Quin...

This should have been posted last month, as the big Q is now 7 months old. But my blogger isn't communicating very nicely with Picasa (please fix Google!).

Anyway, clicking on the link SHOULD take you to an album of the many different faces of Quin (all with his very big 1/4 blue / 3/4 brown eyes).

Dance!

Kajsa had her dance recital last Sunday, June 7th. Quin slept through half it, and whined through the rest. That's my boy!

Springtime in Kittson County

Here are a few fun shots of our adventures in Kittson County... fishing at Lake Bronson, paddling in canoes in the pond, going for stroller rides in the woods, and just enjoying the great outdoors!

Quin showing the beginnings of being an avid reader.

Toe Jam

Kajsa's first fetish. Cleaning lint out of her and Quin's toes. We are proud.

April Showers?

Just as soon as the last remnants of snow melted away in 60 degree weather, this crap happens.

Quin, meet foot. Foot, meet Quin

In the past week or so... someone found their feet, and tries to peel off his socks and eat them.

We're still here!

Sorry it's been so long. We've weathered kidney stones (Elise), bad colds (Kajsa, Mommy, and it's coming on to Daddy)... but we're still keepin' on. Quinny the pooh is still a fair bit finicky with the bottle, but he isn't bitter about it anymore.

Dragging Sass

Kajsa exemplifies what we felt like coming back home Sunday, after celebrating Uncle Nathan's 30th birthday bash.

Roly Poly

The little man, a novice in the practice of mobility, performed his first maneuver today, rolling over. A milestone achieved on the day he turned 4 months old (how fast was that)!!

Keep moving foward

Sure, they look cute and cuddly. But sadly, both of them are(were) monsters. The past 3 weeks, Quin has been fighting the bottle from his daddy-oh. Meanwhile, Kajsa's been trying to pull some strings more often than not.... jumping at the chance to take advantage of any parental struggle (she'll make a brilliant sociopath someday). On Friday however, February 8th... Dr. Brown's bottles came in via UPS, and changed everything. Quin only reluctantly takes the bottles after 3-5 minutes of whining, instead of 60 minutes of screaming bloody murder. All is well again, and we keep moving foward (we recently watched Meet the Robinson's on DVD with Kajsa).

Who's the hat for again?

Kajsa was confused, for whom that hat was made... was it for Baby Alive (a.k.a. Buried Alive) or for brother Quin?
